This is the least expensive type of
printing. Perfect for simple text and line graphics. Text should not be
below 8 point.

black - grayscale (on disc with white surface)
Curved text, shades of gray, fine line art,
solid black backgrounds, black & white photos. Text should not be below 7 point. Rules (lines)
should not be below 0.5 point

color - Full color (on disc with white surface)
Curved text, full color images. San-Serif
text should not be below 7 point. Serif text should not be below 10
point. Text looks best reversed out of color Rules (lines)
should not be below 0.5 point Images with low contrast will not
print well. Vibrant colors are best.
Do not create images using
transparency below 75%.

Spot colors Top

Colors must be created using the
Pantone matching system (PMS) - Solid Coated Library Each color
(including white flood) requires one piece of film.
CMYK - four
color process requires 5 layers of film (CMYK plus white)
All images created in PhotoShop will be
CMYK. Photoshop does not allow for output of film separations except as
process color (even if file has been designed using Pantone Colors)
